Apple could have made it so you’d have to contact them, wait on hold for a length of time to talk to someone, blah blah blah etc etc. to get your refund for the bumper you purchased. Instead, they made it completely hassle-free and decided they’d *automatically* refund your bumper purchase if you purchased it using a credit card. If you paid cash at an Apple Store, Apple stated on their site that you can walk in with your receipt and get your refund that way.
If you hadn’t yet gotten a case or bumper for your iPhone, you can search for “iPhone 4 Case Program” in the App store. Yes, they’ve actually made an app for this and you can log in and select a case, be it a bumper from Apple or one of many reputable third party case manufacturers.
Say what you will about Steve Jobs supposed frustrated attitude at their Press Conference last Friday, but at least in the end they go way out of their way to make things right by their customers.
